Welcome to the SGC Women's Section

We are a small, all inclusive, womens’ section who enjoy playing both friendly and competitive golf.

Our section consists of golfers of all standards, some who are happy to simply play golf, relax and enjoy our wonderful wildlife to the more serious, all weather golfers! We also offer a social non-playing membership for those ladies who want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, have a spot of lunch in our newly decorated clubhouse and meet like-minded women.

Our strong social ethos means that many of our members play in the in-house friendly competitions and often meet after for lunch and a chat. Our Weekday roll-ups are generally held on a Monday, Thursday and Weekends. We have a dedicated WhatsApp group open to all golfing members looking for a game throughout the whole week as well as a social WhatsApp group for all members to keep in touch.

We have a full calendar of club competitions:

Monthly Stableford and Medal comps - Thursday or Sat/Sun.
Spring and autumn meetings
Womens singles and pairs competitions
Away days and weekends
Womens Open Day
Club Mixed pairs

There are also many opportunities to play friendlies and opens at various local clubs and compete in the prestigious Ladies Kent inter-club competitions including the Pearson Trophy, Tappin Trophy, three feathers and many more.

Both the Ladies’ and Club Captains traditionally have their chosen charities which are very well supported within the club and we often reach out to local, smaller charitable organisations whenever possible.

We have a busy social calendar throughout the year ranging from afternoon teas, ladies’ nights and our very popular Christmas Bazaar to the fantastic monthly Captain’s nights and a variety of events put on by our amazing social committee including live singers, party in the park and much more.
